A New Golf Ball Metric: Yards per Dollar

This, I think, is an interesting metric: yards per dollar. It's especially salient for the bros who want to nothing more than to smash the ball. Calculated by taking total carry distance on a drive and dividing it by the standard cost of a dozen balls. For example, a dozen Pro V1s costs $55. On an 85 mph swing, it carries 191.2 yards. Therefore, 191.2/55 = 3.47 yards per dollar.

Here's some further relevant info before you look at the graphs:

All included balls are urethane.

I've included the 85 mph table here. All tables, including the 100 and 115 mph table are included here.

Data derived from a robot experiment.

The cost is sourced from the brand's official site (if a ball is no longer sold on their site, it was left off the list).
